Hey Babs! Yeah... he is doing interferon. His story is at YouTube, and he's got a myspace thing, too. I saw that video about a year ago just cruising youtube. I typed in Hepatitis C, and that was the first one that came up. Fucking shit for some who decide to treat is wicked. I think he said he would never ever do it again. I don't know what's worse - the virus or the cure. Hopefully some of these newer protease and polymerase inhibitors in trials now will bump up the success rate for Geno 1's and perhaps have more tolerable side effects, but they have their own set of problems too, it seems, but the trials are nonetheless going pretty damn good I think, and the projection is like 2010, 2011, some say 2009. We'll just have to wait and see. One day - one day something is going to come that'll be better treatment for the majority, I think (I hope.) Peglyated interferon will probably still be in the equation, but hopefully it'll take less time to treat.

Powerful. I rarely bring my husband to the computer. Your awesome GF...
I'll have to read this to understand it. Was he doing Interferon or something? I'll have to go read now that you've got my curiosities peaked.
